Meet Angel Vanderpool, who began her college journey in 2020 and proudly earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work in May 2024. During her senior year, she completed a year-long internship with an agency focused on empowering foster children and families, working to amplify their voices within their communities. Following graduation, Angel entered the mental health field with a focus on serving children. Both her academic and professional experiences have been shaped by her personal background and a deep-rooted passion for advocating for underserved populations.
Having witnessed the impacts of substance abuse firsthand, Angel recognized early on the life-changing difference that access to proper support systems can make. This understanding has fueled her commitment to supporting individuals and families affected by substance use. She chose to join Epiphany Wellness because of its dual focus on substance use and mental health treatment and its dedication to advocating for individuals who may not have the resources or ability to advocate for themselves.
In her role as Client Care Coordinator, Angel is dedicated to client engagement and retention. Her responsibilities include advocating for clients and helping to identify and overcome barriers that may prevent them from receiving the care they need. Through this work, she contributes to Epiphany’s mission by helping to eliminate obstacles and ensure clients receive individualized support in a distraction-free environment conducive to recovery.
Professionally, Angel is motivated by the communities she serves and the individuals within them who work tirelessly toward change. Her passion is driven by personal experiences and the belief that positive change benefits not only the individual but also their families and support systems.
Outside of work, Angel enjoys reading, watching TV, and spending time with her family — activities that help her maintain a healthy work-life balance and shape her warm, compassionate personality.
